Islanders Pitching Ravaged by Hernández Wednesday, August 10th , 2039 Medicine Hat center fielder Júlio Hernández had a big day at Islanders Ballpark today against the Laval Islanders. The 25-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Drillers to a 10-3 triumph over Laval. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Hernández said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Júlio Hernández doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
