Lions Come up Short of Playoffs Sunday, September 23rd, 2029 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Amsterdam might have envisioned. The Amsterdam Lions were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Lions manager Cristóbal Gabriel. Amsterdam last appeared in the postseason in 2022. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 22-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Lions have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
