Borealis Left Fielder Pope Hurt Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 The Aurora Borealis learned that River Pope is likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Duluth Warriors. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a strained lat. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Aurora manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until River is back in action." Pope is currently batting .322 with 4 home runs, 44 RBIs and 88 runs scored. He has 158 hits in 490 at-bats. |
