Cole Goes on Rampage Against Alleghenies Sunday, August 24th, 2025 It was nearly a perfect day for Lonnie Cole at Watt Powell Field. Although the Amsterdam Lions first baseman was sensational at the plate, collecting 5 base hits in 5 at-bats, it just wasn't enough to keep the Lions from falling to the West Virginia Alleghenies. West Virginia spoiled his great day at the plate by taking a 5-4 win. Lonnie Cole doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jo Kichida in the 9th.
