Canton Loses Chris Long Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 Longshoremen shortstop Chris Long will be spending 4 weeks on the shelf according to his manager. He was hurt in a recent game against Florida making a defensive play and suffered a fractured foot. The Canton GM told BNN no decision had been made on his replacement. He said an announcement was forthcoming, probably tomorrow. So far this season Long is hitting .233 with 3 home runs, 26 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 300 at-bats and a .264 OBP. |
