Lions Takeda Suffers Setback Friday, July 18th, 2025 Just when it looked like Tsuginori Takeda would soon return to the Amsterdam Lions, the starting pitcher suffered yet another setback in his recovery from bone chips in his elbow. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Takeda experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be disabled for at least 4 weeks. To date this season Takeda sports a 4-5 mark with a 3.64 ERA in 12 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .276 batting average and has 47 strikeouts in 76.2 innings. |
