Guadalupe Gets 3-2 Win
|
The Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios and El Ray Vampiros played an exciting game.
The Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios picked up a win at Vampiros Ballpark, knocking off the El Ray Vampiros, 3-2. Starting pitcher Rafael Hinojoso played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Guadalupe goes to 49-47, while the Vampiros fall to 49-47.
Guadalupe used a well-timed hit by Lorenzo Venegas to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Frijoles de Dios ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I got in a good groove," said Hinojoso. "I was getting some swings and misses."
