Chivas Rayadas Get One-Run Win at Naucalpan
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Guadalajara Chivas Rayadas and the Naucalpan Cafe Tacvbas, pitcher Manuel Muñóz was the difference between victory and defeat. The Guadalajara left-hander earned accolades in the 1-0 Chivas Rayadas win. Ángel Rodríguez converted his 17th save in 21 tries. Guadalajara now has a record of 46-40 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Guadalajara, had it not been for Pedro Padilla, the 28-year old center fielder . Padilla contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Guadalajara up, 1-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Muñóz.
