In a low-scoring clash between Acapulco and Ciudad Acuna, pitcher Miguel Álvarez was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 win. Félix Concepción picked up the win in relief for Acapulco, while Rafael Diéguez took the loss. The Zambullidores del Acantilado sport a record of 22-32.
Acapulco used the timely hitting of Luis Sepúlveda to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Zambullidores del Acantilado on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
