The Ciudad Acuna Mariachis beat the Acapulco Zambullidores del Acantilado, 6-3. Ciudad Acuna pitcher and Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico, native José Vega led the way. In 6 innings, Vega surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Earning his 5th save for Ciudad Acuna was Armando Luna.
Ciudad Acuna used the bat of Rubén Moreno to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
