Torrenas Get Dramatic 6-5 Win
|
Good production from designated hitter Tony Hernández helped the Zapopan Torrenas topple the Guadalajara Chivas Rayadas, 6-5. Hernández was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Torrenas. The Torrenas are now 15-16, while the Chivas Rayadas fall to 16-15.
The decisive at-bat for Zapopan came with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With a runner on 3rd, Hernández hit a sacrifice fly for the walk-off win.
"This place was jumping at the end," Hernández said.
