Late Magic Gets Yeosu HS 4-1 Win
|
The Kanaashi Nougyou HS Red Dragons and Yeosu HS Porpoises were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Yeosu HS Porpoises faced a tough opponent in Kanaashi Nougyou HS pitcher Louie Blatchford, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Red Dragons Stadium by a final score of 4-1. Blatchford went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Yeosu HS reliever Kang-il Yi picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Shihei Ichikawa shouldered the loss.
Yeosu HS needed the clutch hitting of Chan-su O to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Porpoises on top, 4-1. For the game, O had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," O said after the game.
With the win, Yeosu HS climbs to 3-3.
