Georgetown and Purdue got after it at Stonewalls Ballpark.

The Georgetown Stonewalls got a strong performance from pitcher Scottie McVay, who stymied the Purdue offense en route to a win, 8-1, at Stonewalls Ballpark. McVay went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-6.

Chris Moody drew 1 walk for Georgetown. The 19-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris York. It was his 10th walk of the season.

McVay told a Georgetown Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Georgetown is in 5th place in the Eastern Seaboard Conference with a record of 20-26.
