O'Neil Holds Georgetown Hitless
|
It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter.
It happened today at Stonewalls Ballpark. Mike O'Neil of the Rice Puddings was right on target against the Georgetown Stonewalls in a 6-0 victory. O'Neil zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"I just had it all today," O'Neil told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat."
This season O'Neil has worked 42.1 innings with 24 strikeouts en route to a 2-2 record and a 1.06 ERA.
