Palouse Knights Pick Up 2-0 Road Win Over Pittsburgh
Behind an impressive start by Alan James, Washington State beat Pittsburgh, 2-0. The Palouse Knights bumped their record to 16-12 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Washington State, had it not been for Gregg McKinley, the 19-year old third baseman . McKinley contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Washington State up, 1-0.

McKinley was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Washington State Daily News, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
