Old Queens Hang 5-2 Loss on Chili Peppers
|
UCLA center fielder Andy Warren was sensational. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Rutgers beat the Chili Peppers, 5-2. The Old Queens, at 11-12, sit in 5th place in the Eastern Seaboard Conference.
Rutgers relied on the hitting of Dale Rodgers to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Old Queens on top, 4-1. For the game, Rodgers had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rodgers.
