Olympians Suffer 9-6 Setback
The Nagano Olympians got a sterling performance from designated hitter Pete Bell, but the Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas still prevailed, 9-6. Bell went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Santiago García earned the save, his 4th. Even with the win, it has been a disastrous start to the year for the Las Brujas Malvadas, who once had aspirations of returning to the playoffs. Now, they find themselves mired in last place at 8-17.

Ensenada used a clutch hit from Melvin Bloemheuvel to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Las Brujas Malvadas ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bloemheuvel.
