Virus KO Moccasins
Monday, September 26th, 2011: The El Cajon Virus ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Nampa Moccasins 7-1 to win the Free Trade Throwdown.

El Cajon won the series 3-2, capturing the title for the 2nd time.

"We stepped it up at the right time... now we're the champs... it's a great feeling," the victorious manager said.

The champs finished the regular season 87-41 and claimed first place in the Baja Cali League SoCal.

In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, the Virus owner proudly stated, "I am so happy for our city. Our great fans deserve this."
Moccasins Crum Stops Colonists
Thursday, September 8th, 2011: "Jeff Crum is really a good pitcher when he throws strikes early in the count," said his manager after the Nampa hurler tossed a complete game 4-hit shutout against the Roanoke Colonists.

"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Crum. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."

Crum walked 2 and struck out 5 in the 4-0 victory.

This year Crum has gone 10-8 with an ERA of 5.45 and has 61 strikeouts in 147 innings.
