Skidding Bears Lose 6th Straight
The Fort Wayne Pioneers beat the Birmingham Bears, 5-3. Fort Wayne pitcher and Koyang, South Korea, native Keon-chae Pak led the way. Fort Wayne pitcher Cristóbal Ayala got the win. He's now 1-3. Kiichi Ikeda was tagged with the loss. Fort Wayne currently is in third place in the Amber Waves League Stars and Stripes at 34-33.

José Dacal was the walk-off hero for Fort Wayne. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pioneers shortstop hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

Pak said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
