Pioneers Lose Late, 3-2
|
Kingston rode a fine outing from starter Bjorn Hak to victory over the Fort Wayne Pioneers at Jamaica National Baseball Park. The final score was 3-2. The winner in relief was Ryuichi Suzuki. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. With the win, Kingston upped its record to 34-23.
Hayden Brigatti was the walk-off hero for Kingston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Suns pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Brigatti, "and then get after it again."
