The Bismarck Battleships defeated the Birmingham Bears, 6-1, in Amber Waves League action at Battleships Ballpark. Bismarck pitcher Richard Robson had a standout performance. Robson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Birmingham is now 12-8.
Making an impact for the home team was Juan Galindo. In the bottom of the first, the 23-year old second baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 1-0, Battleships.
