Spell Swords Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hoods, 2-1

Not everyone stuck through the 57-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Lodoss got a strong outing from Takahashi Sanu as the Spell Swords defeated the Sherwood Park Hoods, 2-1, at Forcelia Field. Sanu picked up the win for Lodoss, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-7. Earning his 12th save for Lodoss was Manny Alonso.
Had Alonso Apodaca not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Apodaca hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Spell Swords.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Sanu told the Lodoss Daily.
The Spell Swords now have a mark of 18-38.
