Victory Over Alleghenies Takes Manchester to 18-12
Manchester third baseman David Simmons helped his team beat the West Virginia Alleghenies, 7-4. Simmons, who is tied for 9th in the IL in home runs with 7, went 2 for 3 for the Maulers. Jesús Lópes, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits. Dong-hyun Pak finished the game for Manchester and earned his 9th save.

In the bottom of the seventh, Manchester shortstop Chih-tui Hsu stroked a 2-run double to center field. The clutch hit put the Maulers in front, 5-3.

"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Hsu.

The loss drops the Alleghenies to 18-13.
