The Maine Lobsters got a rain-soaked win over the Inverness Highlanders.
With left fielder Kenzo Yamauchi leading the charge, the Maine Lobsters defeated the Inverness Highlanders, 7-1, at The Fortress at Inverness. Yamauchi, who is tied for 6th in the ATAL in home runs with 11, was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The winning pitcher was Flávio Guedaz. His record is now 7-2. The left-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits for the Lobsters.
It could have been a different outcome for Maine, had it not been for Pedro Gonzáles, the 28-year old left fielder . Gonzáles contributed a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put Maine up, 2-0.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Yamauchi told the Maine Herald. "And padding the Maine win column."
The Lobsters lead the Atlantic Alliance North by 3 games.
