The Zapopan Torrenas got a great start from 37-year-old left-hander Julián Alaniz, as Zapopan won the contest, 6-1, at Desperados Ballpark. Alaniz threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 2-2.

Zapopan second baseman Juan Jose Montoya had a nice game. In the top of the fourth inning with no one out, he belted a 3-run home run for the Torrenas. It made the score 3-0, Zapopan. For the game, Montoya went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Montoya attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Desperados Ballpark in Querétaro.
