Almost There: Zapopan On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 9-6 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Juan Jose Montoya, the Zapopan Torrenas got a road win against the Nezahualcoyotl Coyotes, 9-6, in Game 4 of the Semifinals today. Montoya was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Torrenas, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Zapopan used a clutch hit from José Reyes to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Torrenas ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Montoya.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Nezahualcóyotl in Los Reyes.
