Azua Breaks Through for First Win in Semifinales; Now Trails 2-1
The Azua Zafiros Blanco have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Moca Segadoras de Cafe, winning 3-2 at Zafiros Blanco Ballpark today. Zafiros Blanco right-hander Manuel García threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Zafiros Blanco to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Semifinales.

Vicente Marino came through for Azua with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The left fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 runs batted in.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Marino said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, December 8th , 2039 at Segadoras de Café Ballpark in Moca.
