The Yuma Arroyos wasted an inspired, 6.2-inning effort from starter Mang Sun, falling 1-0 to the Aurora Borealis at Salt Lick Stadium. Aurora pitcher Tekle-Mariam Louahla got the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Romero got the loss. Héctor Gutiérrez was called on to finish, recording his 27th save.

Aurora used the timely hitting of Rubén Ortega to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Borealis on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Ortega.

Aurora now sits in third place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills at 62-56.
