With first baseman Alfonso Gonzáles leading the charge, the Gatineau Balloonists defeated the Medicine Hat Drillers, 9-7, at Ballonists Ballpark. Gonzáles went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Pedro Ramírez, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-10.
