Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Stampede
The Calgary Stampede faced a tough opponent in Medicine Hat pitcher Ieyoshi Kiyomizu, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium by a final score of 5-4. Kiyomizu went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belongs to Bruno Gaudncio in relief. His record improves to 5-9. Gerard Scott took the loss for Medicine Hat. The Stampede sit in third place in the Pacific Alliance Wild Rose with a record of 54-76.

Calgary used a timely hit from Vincent Sanders to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stampede ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sanders told the Calgary Times.
