Edmonton pitcher Shojiro Abukara did his part in helping his team beat the Red Deer Kings, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Edmonton is now 74-57.

Ángel Rosales was 1-3 for Edmonton. In the bottom of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Rosales delivered for the Mall Ratz. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Edmonton on top, 3-2.
