Fubuki Slap 5-2 Loss on Drillers

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toyohira Fubuki and Medicine Hat Drillers.
The Toyohira Fubuki beat the Medicine Hat Drillers by a score of 5-2. Toyohira right fielder Pedro Colomo deserved the lion's share of the credit. Colomo went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Fubuki. Kitahachi Noda, credited with the save, is now 15 for 16 in save opportunities.
Toyohira used a timely hit from Mario Ramírez to get the win. The left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fubuki on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Colomo. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
Medicine Hat has now lost 4 consecutive games.
