Havana pitcher Jack Sosa did his part in helping his team beat the London Underground, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner in relief was Yoriyoshi Taniguchi. He is now 4-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The 5th-place Leones are 45-56.
The Leones were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Javier Díaz turned a 0-1 fastball from Cecil Langley into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Havana a thrilling 4-3 win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said London manager Jorge Ornelas.
