Wiebe Goes Deep Twice in 5-1 Namami Samurai Win
The Chiben HS Namami Samurai dumped the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers, 5-1, in large part due to first baseman Charles Wiebe. On the day, Wiebe went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Namami Samurai. The Namami Samurai, at 15-17, sit in 5th place in the Pacific Conference Nihon Division.

The Namami Samurai got a big at-bat from designated hitter Noriyori Okamura. For the game, Okamura was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Chiben HS a 2-1 lead.

"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Port Lincoln HS skipper Marcos Sotelo. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
