Rapidos Blancos Top Cenicienta del Pacifico in Extras, 7-4
|
The San Luis Rio Colorado Rapidos Blancos weathered an outstanding game by Ensenada second baseman Andy Abbott to topple the Cenicienta del Pacifico, 7-4. Abbott was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cliff Douglas picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-1. Diego Varela was tagged with the loss. The Rapidos Blancos now have a record of 61-38 with the win over Ensenada.
San Luis Rio Colorado relied on the hitting of Robert Godefroy to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rapidos Blancos on top, 6-4. For the game, Godefroy had 1 triple and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Godefroy.
