The Reno Zephyrs picked up a win at Neo-Tokyo Grounds, taking down the Neo-Tokyo Akira, 4-3. Starting pitcher Carmelo Lamberti was a big reason why. Reno currently is in first place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills at 54-33.

The Zephyrs got an important contribution from second baseman Griff Aspinwall, who in the top of the third hit a slider into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Zephyrs ahead, 2-0.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Neo-Tokyo manager Norihisa Shibutani. "The effort was great."
