Charron Stars in 8-4 Loss to Reno
Neo-Tokyo left fielder Garry Charron pounded Reno Zephyrs pitchers at Neo-Tokyo Grounds, but it was not enough to keep the Akira from falling, 8-4. Charron hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Reno currently is in first place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills at 53-33.

Reno used a clutch hit from Hsin Wang to get the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Zephyrs ahead, 8-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Wang.
