A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Juan Sharks and Aguadilla Roadrunners.

The San Juan Sharks got a stellar performance from pitcher Armando Rodríguez, who handcuffed the Aguadilla offense en route to a win, 8-2, at Ballpark of Aguadilla. The winning pitcher was Rodríguez, now 1-0. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6.

San Juan used a well-timed hit by Bernard Myers to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sharks ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Myers told the San Juan Times.

The Roadrunners drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2039 season.
