Ru-roh, 12 Bud Light Limes, a huge burger, some ruffles and a lot of TUMS later on the 4th of July, it looks like I forgot to push the export button. Not too much damage other than my 4 man rotation staying intact and a dude getting rocked on short rest. At least we still took 2 of 3 from Neo-Tokyo and Yuma to pull within 1 of both Crystal Lake and Kalamazoo. The only problem... 3 of our next 4 series are against Shin Seki, Duluth and Aurora. If we get in, we will have earned it.

even with all the injuries the KyT are holding tough. 5 n 1 this past sim pacing with Florida sitting 1 game out. Rod-Rod continues to help his new team (playing for next year's playing time I guess)/ Rookie starting pitcher Ramon Telez notched his 16th win of season (I believe it is or close to team record for wins) - if he doesn't win Wunderkind I will be shocked.

The Caribbean rivalry is in full effect with 21 ganes left on the docket. 2.5 games between the Havana and San Juan. Last two game on our schedules are against each other. It's anyody's race still. The difference may be Oct 10 when Havana gets a day off. San Juan has no days off for the rest of the season.

Elsewhere in the PEBAverse, the Paul Moots Cup is going on right now. This year, it is between Niihama (97-47) and Manchester (83-61) trying to repeat as champs.

They traded victories back and forth, and it is currently a 3-2 series lead for Manchester. The Cup will be awarded in this upcoming sim ;-D

Borealis continue a Shaky September that has them 14-11, losing ground to the Evil Evas, and as they continue the chase of both Shin Seiki and Duluth (half game up on Aurora, 3 back of SS), the Borealis are 10-games into a season-ending, back-breaking 25-games in a row stretch (as does Duluth)... Teams looking to be spoilers: Toyama, Fargo, Bakersfield, and Yuma - all with games left with multiple contenders...

On the Farm, Gatineau lost in their attempts to FINALLY win a AA title - now 0-17... Thornton has began their title hunt (for #6), splitting a pair with Provo, while Mokule'ia looks to begin their chase for #3 v. Kauai... How big a pitchers league is the Surf and Sand? The Oceanic's Starter ERA of 3.15 is 9th best in the HL (15th overall), while Aurora's 3.52 is #2 in the SL... 8-o

Shin Seki handed us an 0-4 sim and we've not got 5 players deemed "Who's Not"... Not a dagger by any means as we're 2.5 back of both Kalamazoo and Crystal Lake. Palm Springs is an extreme dark horse at 5.5 out of the Wild Card. Everyone else can be declared out of it with only 2.5 weeks to play. I did a quick look at everyones chances below...

Crystal Lake 80-67, 0 GB: They've got 4 against Shin Seki, 4 against Neo Tokyo, and a whopping 7 against Reno. The matchups against Reno aren't as favorable as they may seem. Reno's last losing month was June and they are 43-36 since then. That said, I'm going to predict a 8-7 finish (2-2 vs SS, 3-1 vs NT, 3-4 vs pesky Reno) for CL putting them at 88-74.

Kalamazoo 80-67, 0 GB: 4 against Neo Tokyo, 3 against Fargo, 4 against Palm Springs and 4 against Aurora. Kalamazoo should be able to build up some cushion next week and hope that Aurora is resting players for the last series. I'll predict 8-7 for the Badgers (3-1 vs NT, 2-1 vs Fargo, 1-3 vs PS, 2-2 vs Aurora) which would land them at 88-74.

Bakersfield 77-69, 2.5 GB: 4 against Fargo, 3 against Duluth, 4 against Aurora, 3 Palm Springs, 2 Okinawa. The Bears have 1 extra game on the teams they are chasing but no breaks. It is going to take a lot to catch up. I see us as 11-5 (3-1 vs Fargo, 1-2 vs Duluth, 4-0 vs Aurora via Jedi Mind Tricks, 1-2 vs PS, 2-0 vs Okinawa) which has us finishing 88-74.

Palm Springs 74-72, 5.5 GB: The Codgers will need a big run to sneak in and guess what, they are gonna go 7-0 next week against Toyoma and Reno, to bring themselves within striking distance. They'll then take 3 of 4 from the Badgers, 2 of 3 from the Bears and a quick 2 game sweep of Fargo to land at an amazing 88-74.

OH SH*T, COMMISH, HOW DO WE BREAK THIS 4 WAY TIE?!?!?

The only reason that Florida is leading the division is their dominance over four teams (losing record to 3)
Ky needs to win head to head (4 game set next), however, we have several injured players unavailable.

Kentucky Thoroughbreds Record
Amsterdam Lions 9-3
Arlington Bureaucrats 7-7
Canton Longshoremen 7-7
Florida Featherheads 5-5
Hartford Harpoon 9-5
Havana Leones 8-6
London Underground 9-3
New Orleans Trendsetters 7-7
San Antonio Calzones of Laredo 6-4
San Juan Coqui 9-5
Scottish Claymores 7-3
West Virginia Alleghenies 4-5

First game against Florida, Fla SP Ornelas drills Ky 3B Sanchez in the face - lost for season.
Game 4 setup man Chesney goes down while pitching.

Florida takes 3 of 4 and wraps up another division crown.

Playoffs are in my hands now and I have to run a gauntlet to make sure we get there. Closing the season out with series against 3 playoff teams, West Virginia (3-7), Havana (6-6), and Florida (5-7).
