Trendsetters Expand New Frontier Field to 55,000
New Orleans, LA –
February 26, 2041
Construction continues on the 5,000 seat expansion at New Frontier Ballpark, the home of the New Orleans Trendsetters. The new expansion goes along with team ownership’s renewed attempts to draw fans. Improvements will include the new seats down the right and left field lines along with a new VIP/Loge section and some local eateries will now be offering local Big Easy fare at the ballpark.
The ballpark itself will see 2,500 added seats down both foul lines while the stands just beyond the left field wall had two more tiers added to replace the seating lost when the bullpens were moved behind the left field wall as well.
“These additional seats will show our commitment to the city of New Orleans the faith we have in our rebuilding effort. We believe that when this team reaches its full potential, 55,000 seats may not be enough to hold the fans who will want to come to the ballpark every night.” said Trendsetters owner Jack Cobb. Last season New Orleans drew over 3,000,000 fans for the first time since 2032while also putting up their best record since 2032 as well. Granted, it was just 67-95, but it was still better than the previous seven seasons.
The Trendsetters faithful may have finally been given a reason to secure those season tickets. After much wheeling and dealing and draft pick collection, not mention more than a few high draft picks, the Trendsetters farm system is now ranked #4 in the PEBA. With prospects such as SP Hyung-On Che (#7) in AAA, Gabriel Santos (#29) in AA along with Li-Zhu Ho (#77) , Harold “Hulk Smash!” Belafonte (#17) in Single A along with Marcos Jimenez (#34) and the organization may have some hope for the future.
As far as ballpark entertainment goes, the ballpark will featuring new VIP seating that will have a back of the seat display that carries the game as well as a deep dive into the stats of the game as well as analysis from Stats Inc. right at your fingertips. The culinary selections have been given an upgrade with a focus on local New Orleans fare as Brennan’s will now have a presence at the ballpark and will serve Turtle Soup, a house specialty. Other local famous eateries will be present at the ball park like the Blue Flamingo that will serve birria Tacos and finally Dooky Chase has opened upa stand and will serve Creole as well as Chicken and Andouille Gumbo on gamedays. The ballpark menu can be found here.
