LRS_logoAURORA, CO – The Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance has come to an agreement with the League of the Rising Sun to purchase the financially floundering Japanese league. The deal includes control of the Minarai Doumei, the LRS’s minor league system.

“Yup: lock, stock and barrel, we bought the whole damn thing,” said PEBA commissioner John Rodriguez, Sr. “This is a great day for baseball fans around the world, as well as for the PEBA.”

Rodriguez confirmed that he has 12 ownership groups lined up and ready to take over the existing Japanese league teams, which are currently nearing the end of their regular season. Many of the details of the takeover, however, remain shrouded in mystery. The Commissioner did not specify which groups would be taking over which teams, nor exactly how the league would operate or who might be the Commissioner.

“We’ve still got a few things left to iron out. But there’s a bigger plan at work here.”

Rodriguez went on to say that the ownership questions should be answered by early next week, at which point baseball fans should expect numerous announcements about how things are going to change. It’s believed that many of the new ownership groups have been in secret talks with Japanese government officials concerning relocation of their franchises, as well as new ballparks and identities.
