Seoul Crushers Move Big-name Player

I am Tricia Takanawa, and we are now reporting a major move by the Seoul Crushers front office. I got a chance to read a small portion of the memo sent out to all players today. As it reads, LF Tashiaki Tanaka, SP Kenko Saigo and SS Razan Okada (AAA) were traded to the Hyakujuu Shinkansen. This looks to be a good move by Seoul as it drops their salary down a whopping $15M. This now puts them in major contention for free agency.
What Seoul received in return was Hyakujuu’s 3rd round draft pick and SP Chet Parker. Parker, who makes $3.3M a year, looks to replace Saigo in the rotation. I am being told that Tanaka had to go, as his salary was holding the team’s budget hostage. It seems that Okada and Saigo did not impress the scouts for Seoul, as they were deemed movable.
It looks to be a good move for the Crushers, who are making this the talk of the town. The front office of Neo-Tokyo was quoted as saying the following: “This changes things dramatically for Seoul. Their salary space is wide open now. They can go in any direction at this point, even resigning some of their quality (soon-to-be) FAs. Tanaka is vastly overpaid, especially with his output this past season, but if anyone can handle that contract, it’s Hyakujuu.”
That’s one major move made, and many sure to come. I am Tricia Takanawa, and this is Takanawa Times.
