Postseason Bid Ends for Melbourne Tuesday, September 16th , 2042 It's now time for the Melbourne Bitters to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2042 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Bitters right fielder Malcolm Archdeacon. Melbourne last appeared in the postseason in 2039. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 9 times in their 13-year history. |
