League Suspends Lombard and Campos for Fisticuffs Thursday, September 4th , 2042 If there wasn't a history between Hervé Lombard of Tauranga and Guillermo Campos of Hobart, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Lombard said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In the 2042 season Lombard is hitting .196 with 3 home runs. In 10 starts this season, Campos has chalked up a 4-1 record and a 1.88 ERA. |
