The season is finished for José Durán of the Gohueng Gom. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Gom starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Jeonju Shamans. Team doctors said it would take at least 12 months to heal.
Durán has made 9 starts so far this year and put up a 3-3 won-lost record with a 2.85 ERA. In 53.2 innings he has allowed 52 hits, walked 10 and struck out 51.
