Manager Iemochi History; Flying Fish Start Search
Thursday, September 26th , 2041
A "difference of opinion" has cost Ken'ichi Iemochi his job as manager of the Bridgetown Flying Fish.
Following a postgame meeting with front office officials and ownership, Iemochi left the ballpark without addressing reporters. It was then revealed by the team's general manager that Iemochi had been dismissed from the club. Few details are available on the firing at this time.
"Basically, it just came down to a difference of philosophy between Ken'ichi and management," general manager said.
When reached for comment at his Bridgetown home, Iemochi refused to comment on the firing other than to say, "We just mutually parted ways. That's it."
The club will begin a search for Iemochi's successor immediately. Several interviews have already been set up, but team officials declined to say who is on their list of possible replacements.
