Tauranga Blanked by Flores Monday, September 16th , 2041 The Sunshine Coast Crocodile Hunters shut out the Tauranga Taniwha, 3-0, behind the strong pitching of José Flores. Flores surrendered only 2 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 8. Following the last out, Flores appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Tauranga manager Bennett Dean, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Flores's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Taniwha skipper would not comment on the exchange but, at the Crocodile Hunters press conference, Flores confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Flores said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Sunshine Coast manager Tom Wickersham added.
