Reyes Launches 3 HR for Pacos Tuesday, July 16th , 2041 Puerto Plata Pacos catcher Juan Reyes left the Aruba pitching staff in ruins at Broad Brook Grounds, beating the Wahoos, 10-1, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Reyes told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Puerto Plata catcher had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. Juan Reyes grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Masutaro Ashia in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off José Díaz in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off César Aragón in the 8th. Thus far this season, Reyes is hitting .276 with 6 home runs, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 21 hits in 76 at-bats and has played in 25 games. |
