Hoorn Wins Round 1 Friday, May 2nd , 2042 The fans in Hoorn are celebrating the Schooners victory over the Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats in the Round 1. They defeated the Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats 3-1 in the finale played at Hoorn Grounds to capture the series 4-1. Fabio Bookelman was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Schooners first baseman batted .333, drove in 7 runs and scored 5 runs in the series. "The Diamond Cats are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Bookelman said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The Hoorn Schooners don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montego Bay HS Mariners - Canuck HS Battlecats series.
