Marines Advance to Round 2 Thursday, May 1st , 2042 Geoffrey Cook put the Dedado HS Marines on his shoulders as they downed the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters in the Round 1. Dedado HS won the deciding game by a 2-1 count at Osaka Toin Field and wrapped up the series 4-1. Cook played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .261 batting average with a .320 on-base percentage, 3 home runs, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. "I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said. The Dedado HS Marines will play against the Taitung HS Hermits in the next round.
